Ingredient List: Pineapple powder, Calcium Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Apple fiber powder, Cranberry fruit powder, Maltodextrin, Cellulose, Natural Flavor, Silicon Dioxide, Magnesium Stearate (veg), and Lo Han Fruit Concentrate.
These tablets contain 50 milligrams of Vitamin C, which is more than the required amount. (http://www.guinealynx.info/scurvy.html) There is only one real problem with these tablets. Pickles usually refuses to eat them. All the other pigs love them! Peanut will stand up and chew the bars and wheek every morning until she gets one. However, I needed to find a vitamin C supplement that Pickles would eat...
Luckily, Oxbow recently came out with a Vitamin C version of its Natural Science hay tabs. I had already fed the pigs the multivitamin version, and I know they love the taste of hay tabs, so I decided to try them.
The pigs all love them. Eating their vitamin C tablets is one of the most exciting moments in their day. I still buy both varieties because Peanut, Pepper, and Baby liked the original tablets so much and I like to switch it up. Pickles still hates the original orange tablets, but he can't get enough of these hay tabs. I definitely recommend them.
Ingredient list: Timothy grass, barley flour, oat groat flour, cane molasses, l-ascorbyl-2-monophosphate (vitamin C), flax seed meal, brewers dried yeast, xanthan gum, fat product, mixed tocopherols, rosemary extract.
These contain 25 milligrams of vitamin C, which is half the amount in the other tablets, but these still help to fulfill their vitamin C requirement.
